Trump Receives 2026 Faith Defender Award in D.C.

Donald Trump was honored with the 2026 Faith Defender Award during a gala organized by Save Nigeria Group USA in partnership with the U.S.-Nigeria Civil Society Coalition at the Hilton Garden Inn, Capitol Hill, Washington D.C. The award recognizes efforts to advance religious freedom and confront vulnerabilities affecting communities worldwide.

Prominent Nigerian Christian leaders, including Pastor Enoch Adeboy of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and Bishop David Oyedepo, spoke at the event. Adeboyo urged the U.S. to continue its support in combating insecurity in Nigeria, warning that terrorism could spread beyond the northern region.

He commended recent U.S. actions against terrorist groups and disclosed RCCG's establishment of an internally displaced persons camp. Oyedepo expressed concern over Nigeria's security situation and supported U.S. congressional legislation aimed at addressing terrorism-related atrocities.

The gala concluded a week-long advocacy campaign aimed at strengthening international support for Nigeria.
