TTP to Expand Eto Call-up System for Faster Trade in West Africa

The Truck Transit Park (TTP) aims to replicate the successful Eto Call-up System from Apapa Port across West Africa, focusing on creating rest stops for truckers along key routes like Lagos-Abidjan and Lagos-Ouagadougou. Jamal Onwubuariri disclosed the organization's plans to work with ECOWAS countries to harmonize port and truck schedules, implementing electronic toll systems to facilitate faster and cheaper trade.

The Eto system has already reduced traffic congestion at Apapa Port, saving Nigeria millions annually. TTP's partnership with Nigerian port authorities showcases the potential for seamless intra-African trade in 2021.
