TUC Boss Slams Nigerian Leadership, Canvasses Agriculture-driven GDP Growth

TUC President General, Comrade Festus Osifo, criticized Nigerian political leaders for their overdependence on crude oil and lack of productivity, urging a shift towards agriculture-driven GDP growth. He emphasized the need for structural reforms to boost the country's economy and improve worker welfare.

The Lagos State Government pledged ongoing support for workers and called on the Nigerian embassy to actively attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Osifo highlighted Nigeria's vast potential for wealth, citing the country's budget of nearly N50 trillion and the need for more productive use of resources.

The government was urged to create an enabling environment for agriculture and commercial farming to stimulate economic growth.
