Turaki-led PDP faction holds crucial NEC and BoT meetings

On May 4, 2026, the Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) convened its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) and 84th Board of Trustees (BoT) meetings in Abuja. The meetings were held following a resolution signed by two-thirds of the NEC members, in accordance with Section 31 of the PDP constitution.

The attendance at the 103rd meeting was strictly limited to statutory members of the NEC, which included PDP state governors, members of the National Assembly, PDP caucus, state chairmen, and former National Working Committee (NWC) members. The faction emphasized its commitment to stability, unity, and the success of the PDP, guided by principles of internal democracy and party discipline.

The meetings were part of the party's strategic preparations for the upcoming 2027 general elections, aiming to ensure a strong performance and victory for the Nigerian people.
