Onuachu Makes History with Brace in Trabzonspor Win

On Monday, Paul Onuachu, a Nigerian international forward, made history by scoring a brace in Trabzonspor's convincing 3-1 win against Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig at Kadir Stadium. Onuachu opened the scoring just two minutes into first-half stoppage time with a header from a cross by Wagner Pina.

He then skillfully converted a penalty five minutes later, providing Trabzonspor with a comfortable lead at halftime. In the second half, Trabzonspor increased their lead when Kayserispor's goalkeeper, Bilal Bayazit, accidentally diverted the ball into his own net.

Onuachu's brace allowed him to extend his remarkable scoring streak to seven consecutive league matches, bringing his total to nine goals across these games. This achievement marks the longest goal-scoring streak of his professional league career, previously reached during the 2020-2021 season with Belgian club KRC Genk.

With 22 goals and two assists in 25 league appearances this season, Onuachu has solidified his reputation as a prolific forward in the Turkish top flight.
