Two Die in Ogun Motorcycle and Pickup Collision

On Monday, a fatal accident occurred in Ogun State, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, a man and a woman, when their motorcycle collided with a Dongfeng pickup truck. The incident took place at Koto Ajala, inbound to Owod, within the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.

Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency, confirmed the accident on Tuesday morning, attributing it to excessive speed and the motorcyclist losing control. Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcyclist lost control while descending Koto Ajala outbound and collided with the oncoming Dongfeng pickup truck.

The motorcycle bore the registration number FFF 689, while the pickup had the registration number GGE 200 KP. The crash resulted in the deaths of both motorcycle occupants, with no injuries reported for the pickup's occupants.

The bodies were evacuated to a hospital morgue in Sagamu, and the damaged vehicles were taken to a police station for further investigation. Traffic management was restored following the incident.
