Two Undergraduates Killed in Osun Cult Attack

On Tuesday, two undergraduates were killed in a suspected cult attack in Osun State. The incident took place off-campus, where a group of suspected cultists attacked a gathering of students, reportedly as part of an ongoing rivalry.

The attack occurred at night when the assailants, identified as members of the AY confraternity, targeted students in a revenge mission. Two students sustained severe injuries and later succumbed to their wounds.

The injured victims are currently receiving treatment in a hospital. Naija Confra, an anti-cultism advocacy platform, reported that the attack involved members of the AY confraternity tracking down members of the Buccaneers.

Abiodun Ojelabi, a spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed the incident but noted that investigations are ongoing. Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the violent clash in Ilesa metropolis.
