Edo Police Arrest Two Suspects After Hotel Robbery

The Edo State Police Command arrested two suspects, Mustapha Haruna and Abdullahi Abdulrahman, linked to a ten-member armed robbery gang that raided a hotel in Benin City. The robbery occurred in the Ugbor area, where the gang stole several valuables, including assorted iPhones, Samsung phones, laptops, a JBL speaker, a power bank, and an undisclosed sum of cash.

The incident prompted residents to alert the police, leading to the suspects' arrest on Thursday. Following their apprehension, the police recovered some of the stolen items.

Eno Ikoedem, the spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, confirmed the arrests and stated that a manhunt was launched to apprehend the remaining gang members. Investigations are ongoing, with efforts intensified to track down the fleeing suspects.
