Falconets Prepare for U20 World Cup Qualifier Against Malawi

The Falconets, Nigeria's U20 women's national football team, are preparing to confront Malawi's U20 girls' team in a significant FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier. The first leg of this final qualifying round is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 2, in Ikenne, Remo, Ogun State.

The Falconets recently concluded an intensive three-week training camp in Abuja, which emphasized discipline, resilience, and rigorous effort from the players to ensure they are in peak physical condition and tactically sharp for the upcoming match. The team aims to secure a strong advantage in the first leg as they continue their pursuit of qualification for this year's FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals, which will be hosted in Poland from September 5 to 26.

Nigeria has previously qualified for and participated in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup competitions.
