Falconets Train in Ikenne for Malawi World Cup Qualifier

The Nigeria U-20 women's national football team, known as the Falconets, has begun training in Ikenne in preparation for their upcoming fixture against Malawi in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifiers. The team, under the guidance of coach Mose Aduku, arrived in Ikenne on Monday following a three-week intensive training camp in Abuja.

The Falconets are set to hold their first training session at the Remo Star Stadium later tonight. The first leg of the qualifying match will take place at the Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, while the return leg is scheduled for May 9 in Malawi.

The overall winner of this two-legged tie will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which will be hosted in Poland from September 5 to 26.
