UBA Foundation Partners with Slum2School for Financial Literacy

UBA Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group, has partnered with Slum2School Africa to deliver financial literacy workshops aimed at underprivileged children. The initiative focuses on equipping children with essential money management skills from an early age.

The program includes the introduction of a money exploration book designed to engage children in fundamental financial literacy concepts through interactive stories and practical activities, such as a money ledger game. UBA's Red Vault savings product is also featured to encourage healthy financial habits during childhood.

Bola Atta, the Managing Director of UBA Foundation, emphasized the importance of introducing financial education early, stating that such interventions help build lifelong habits and foster confidence in economic independence. The partnership with Slum2School Africa allows UBA Foundation to reach more children, with contributions from Adekunle Idowu, Senior Program Manager, and Oluyemi Alugo, Education Innovation Manager, enhancing the learning experience.
