Uba Sani Supports 97 Ex-Inmates with Financial Aid

On June 12, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State granted financial assistance to 97 ex-inmates, providing each with N100,000. This initiative coincided with the commemoration of Democracy Day and is part of a broader effort to encourage law-abiding behavior among citizens.

Dalhat Ibrahim, an official from the Kaduna Medium Security Custodial Centre, praised the governor's gesture, stating it would facilitate reform, rehabilitation, and reintegration of ex-inmates into society. Alhaji Moham Suleiman, a senior special assistant to the governor, reiterated that the financial support is intended to help those released for good behavior avoid returning to criminal activities.

Chuk Solomon, an ex-inmate from Ebonyi State, expressed gratitude for the assistance, stating it would help him start a business. Abubakar Umar, another former inmate, described his release as a happy day, thanking the governor for the opportunity.
