UBEC Commits to Integrating Luminah 2030 for Girls' Education Empowerment

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has committed to integrating the Luminah 2030 program into its operations. UBEC's Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba, announced the incorporation of Luminah 2030 into the work plan and budget, ensuring alignment with State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs).

Launched by the Federal Ministry of Education in March 2025, Luminah 2030 aims to empower one million underserved Nigerian girls with education and vocational training by 2030. The program will be implemented in 12 pilot states across six geopolitical zones.

UBEC believes that integrating Luminah 2030 will enhance efforts to improve learning outcomes, especially for girls in rural communities, aligning with Nigeria's educational goals.
