UK Allocates Youth Mobility Visa Places for 2026

The UK government has published the official allocations for the Youth Mobility Scheme for 2026, detailing the number of visa spots available for each of the 13 eligible countries. Australia leads with 38,500 places, followed by Canada with 10,000 and New Zealand with 8,000.

Other allocations include 6,000 for the Republic of Korea and 5,000 for India, which gained access through a bilateral agreement. Several countries, including Hong Kong, Iceland, Monaco, Marino, and Taiwan, each received 1,000 spots.

Uruguay received 500 places, while Andorra was allocated the fewest at just 100. The scheme allows young people from these countries to live and work in the UK for up to two years, with some able to extend their stay to three years.

Notably, no African countries, including Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa, are represented in this year's allocations, reflecting the limited scope of the scheme to countries with existing bilateral agreements with the UK.
