Lawyer Threatens Action Against Businesswoman Over Claims

Lawyer Saturdai Abubakar has threatened legal action against businesswoman Ohiri, who previously accused David Umahi of sexual harassment and intimidation. Ohiri alleged that she was coerced into retracting her claims and promised a payment of ₦70,000, which she asserts was not fulfilled.

Abubakar emphasized that the payment was a goodwill gesture and not an admission of liability. Ohiri has accused Abubakar of continuing to make false allegations and misrepresenting facts despite attempts to resolve the matter amicably.

She claims to have been isolated and intimidated during the process, leading her to call for an investigation into Abubakar's conduct by the Nigerian Bar Association. The situation gained public attention when activist Omoyele Sowore confronted Umahi at police headquarters, criticizing the handling of the case.

Umahi has denied the allegations, labeling them as baseless and asserting that no harassment occurred.
