Umakhihe Launches Campaign for Owan Federal Constituency

Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, a former Federal Permanent Secretary and holder of a Ph.D., officially launched his campaign for the Owan Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.

The event, which took place in Owan East Local Government Area, Edo State, was marked by endorsements from local political leaders, including Hon. Palli Irias, a former Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives.

Irias highlighted Umakhihe as the unanimous choice of the people, advocating for a return to equitable political representation after a period of perceived stagnation. The campaign emphasizes a commitment to community development, with promises to address local issues such as road construction, water provision, and solar street lighting.
