UniAbuja to Employ Best Graduates Automatically

The University of Abuja is set to hold its combined convocation ceremony on November 29-30, 2023, where it will confer degrees to a total of 12,624 students. Among these, 77 students will graduate with first-class honors from the 2022/2023 academic session. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, announced during a press briefing that the university will grant automatic employment to the overall best graduating student. The breakdown of graduates includes 7,158 students on November 29, comprising various classifications, and 5,466 students on November 30. The university aims to enhance its global competitiveness and has made significant strides in research and infrastructure development. Additionally, the convocation will feature an honorary doctorate degree conferred upon three distinguished Nigerian professors. The Chief Executive Officer of Flutterwave, Mr. Olugbenga Agboola, will deliver the convocation lecture on the topic of AI and fintech opportunities and challenges.
