UNICEF Renovates and Returns Warehouse to Enugu State

On Wednesday, UNICEF officially handed over a renovated warehouse facility to the Enugu State Government, which had been donated 15 years prior. Dr.

Charl Lolika, UNICEF Nigeria's Deputy Representative, expressed gratitude for the state government's generosity in providing the warehouse rent-free. This handover symbolizes a renewed partnership, reflecting trust and shared responsibility in advancing the welfare of children in Enugu State.

The warehouse will function as a vital logistics hub, supporting the delivery of health, nutrition, education materials, and emergency response items. Prof.

Georg Ugwu, the Enugu State Commissioner for Health, acknowledged the importance of the facility, stating that the renovations would enhance its usability for receiving and distributing essential commodities, including health items and vaccines. The partnership between UNICEF and the Enugu State Government has been crucial in maintaining public health and humanitarian efforts in the region.
