UNIJOS Reschedules Exams Amid Security Concerns

The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced the rescheduling of exams that were initially planned for Monday and Tuesday due to security concerns stemming from an attack in Angwan Rukuba, located in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. This decision was communicated in a statement issued on Monday by the Deputy Registrar, following a violent incident that occurred on Sunday night, which involved gunmen and resulted in loss of life and injuries.

Vice Chancellor Emmanuel Madugu directed that the exam schedule be adjusted in light of the heightened tension in the area. He urged both staff and students to remain vigilant and to avoid unnecessary movements.

Additionally, the Plateau State government has imposed a 48-hour curfew in the Jos North Local Government Area to restore order following the attack.
