University of Jos Postpones Exams After Deadly Attack

The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced the postponement of examinations originally scheduled for March 30 and 31, 2026, due to a deadly attack in the Anguwan Rukuba community within the North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The decision was made by the Vice Chancellor, Emmanuel Madugu, in response to the heightened tension and security concerns following the incident.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Deputy Registrar informed the public about the decision, emphasizing the need for safety among the university community. Students and staff have been urged to remain indoors and exercise caution in their movements both within and outside the campus.

The university's security division is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as necessary.
