UNILAG Law Students Shine in Landmark Mock Court Event

On Thursday, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Law Faculty hosted a landmark mock court session designed to enhance students' advocacy skills. The event brought together law students and legal mentors, including retired Justice Toyin Taiwo, and was sponsored by alumnus Mike Igbokw SAN.

Professor Abiola Sanni SAN, Dean of the Law Faculty, emphasized the initiative's goal to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-life advocacy, equipping students with critical skills necessary for success in the legal profession. Dr.

Issa Adedokun, staff coordinator of the Moot Society, highlighted the event as the first edition of what is set to become an annual fixture, providing students a platform to compete and apply legal principles in a realistic courtroom simulation. Emmanuel Farunbi, president of the Law Society, expressed enthusiasm for the program's impact on bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application.

The event concluded with students receiving commendations for their performances, reinforcing their commitment to legal training and future careers.
