Unity Essential for Stronger Democracy, Says Minister Idris

During a meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Niger State, Information Minister Mohammed Idris called for unity and mutual respect among party members. He emphasized the importance of setting aside differences to strengthen the party and Nigeria's democracy.

The meeting, convened by Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, took place on Saturday, July 19, 2026. Idris urged stakeholders to work together for the collective interest of the party, state, and nation, stating that democracy thrives when leaders prioritize the common good over personal interests.

He commended Governor Bago for convening the meeting, describing it as an opportunity for consultation and reconciliation. Idris also highlighted key achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which has enabled over one million Nigerian students to access higher education, and ongoing construction and rehabilitation of 2,000 kilometers of roads nationwide.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the efforts of President Tinubu and Governor Bago to deliver sustainable development and improve citizens' lives.
