Nigerian Universities Commission Receives €3m for ICT Projects to Boost Higher Education

The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has secured a €3 million grant as the first tranche of a €40 million loan from the French Development Agency to enhance Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects in 10 selected universities. The NUC aims to drive research, entrepreneurship, digital skills development, and quality assurance in higher education.

Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu disclosed this during the 13th NUC board inauguration in Abuja.

The funding will also support financial management, expand educational access, and establish new programs in Nigerian universities. The initiative aligns with the NUC's vision to advance the country's university system technologically.
