First Class Graduate Shares NYSC Experience at Dangote

Sukurat Bello, a first-class graduate of Industrial and Production Engineering, commenced her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Dangote Cement Plc in Ibese on January 12, 2026. In an August 2026 LinkedIn post, she reflected on her initial experiences, including completing a safety induction on her first day, which she described as the start of a significant chapter in her professional journey.

Bello expressed that the practical experience in a manufacturing plant was vastly different from her theoretical studies, noting that she encountered equipment and discussions about production targets, quality control, and operational efficiency that she had only previously studied in textbooks. Over the following months, she rotated through various areas of the plant, developing a keen interest in production data, analysis, and reporting.

Bello candidly stated that she is still in the process of defining her engineering identity and aims to build her professional capacity to be a desirable team member. She plans to document her lessons and experiences during her posting.
