52 Sokoto Youths Gain Employment with BUA Cement

A total of 52 youths from host communities in Wamakko Local Government Area, Sokoto State, have secured automatic employment with BUA Cement Plc after completing a six-month training program focused on heavy-duty equipment operations. The initiative, which trained 60 unemployed youths, was fully sponsored by BUA Cement as part of its corporate social responsibility to equip young people with employable skills and reduce unemployment.

At the graduation ceremony, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, represented by Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry Alhaji Haruna Abbas Bashir, emphasized the program's significance as an investment in the future of the state's youths. He praised BUA Cement for its partnership with the government and urged graduates to utilize their skills effectively.

Engr. Yusuf Binji, Managing Director of BUA Cement, represented by Alhaji Sada Suleiman, reiterated the company's commitment to tackling youth unemployment through practical skills training.

Local government chairman Alhaji Umaru Muhammad Dundaye and traditional ruler representative Alhaji Shehu Dan Galadima also commended BUA Cement for its contributions to community development.
