University of Ibadan Sets 2026/2027 Admission Cut-offs

The University of Ibadan has published the cut-off marks for seven science programmes as part of its 2026/2027 undergraduate admission exercise. The cut-off marks were released by the institution's Undergraduate Admissions Unit and apply to three admission categories: Merit, Catch-Up (Catch), and the Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS) scheme.

All three categories have identical cut-off scores for each of the seven programmes. The cut-off marks are as follows: Geology — 52.375, Industrial Chemistry — 50.75, Microbiology — 50.625, Physics — 50.125, Mathematics — 50.00, Statistics — 50.00, and Zoology — 50.00.

Geology has the highest entry threshold, while Mathematics, Statistics, and Zoology share the lowest score. The ELDS scheme aims to provide candidates from educationally disadvantaged states with a fairer chance for admission.

Candidates who took the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) must meet or exceed these thresholds to qualify for consideration.
