UNIZIK Students Demand Reinstatement of Prof. Odoh as VC After Court Ruling

UNIZIK students are calling for the reinstatement of Prof. Bernard Odoh as Vice-Chancellor after a court judgment favored him.

The students, led by Chisom Nwangwu of the Nigerian Student Youth Association, are pressuring the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, to act swiftly in reinstating Odoh in compliance with the court ruling. The court affirmed Odoh's promotion to the rank of professor in 2015, emphasizing his entitlement to the VC position.

The students express concern over the government's failure to implement court orders, highlighting the importance of upholding the rule of law in a democratic society. They describe Odoh as a visionary leader and the first alumnus of the university to hold the VC position.

The students appeal to President Bola Tinubu to intervene and ensure full compliance with the court's judgment.
