Bless Ogundiran Wins Women's 100m at AFN Trials

At the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) trials held at Yaba College of Technology in Lagos, Bless Ogundiran emerged as the fastest woman, clinching the women's 100m title with a time of 11.12 seconds. This performance showcased her talent in a highly competitive race, where Miracl Ezechukwu finished second with a personal best of 11.15 seconds, and Olayinka Olajide, based in the USA, completed the top three with a time of 11.28 seconds.

Ogundiran expressed her relief at winning, especially after facing travel challenges due to a storm in the US. The focus then shifted to the men's events, where Ash Chidera Ezeakor and Fakored Adekalu were among the competitors in the men's 100m final.

Additionally, Olympian Chukwuebuka Enekwechi won the men's shot put with a throw of 21.46 meters, marking his fifth consecutive victory in Nigeria. Oyesad Oyetayo also excelled, winning the hammer throw with a distance of 65.07 meters.
