US Congressman Warns of Direct Action on Nigeria Violence

In an interview with Newsmax, US Congressman Riley Moor expressed concerns over the Nigerian government's inability to curb escalating violence against Christians, warning that the United States may need to take direct action if the situation does not improve. Moor, who recently visited Nigeria, witnessed firsthand the tragic consequences of violence, including a recent attack on Palm Sunday that resulted in the deaths of 40 individuals.

He highlighted the recent killings in Plateau State, where 28 people were killed in Angwan Rukuba, and criticized the Nigerian government's response as inadequate. Moor's report to the White House included recommendations for concrete actions to address the crisis, which he described as a potential genocide against Christians.

He noted that Nigeria ranks as the seventh worst country for Christian persecution, with 72% of Christians killed worldwide last year. Moor's comments come amid ongoing violence and insecurity in Nigeria, prompting calls for stronger international security measures.
