Peter Obi Calls U.S. Security Advisory a Bad Omen for Nigeria

He highlighted the alarming rise in insecurity, noting that Nigeria currently ranks fourth on the global terror index.

Obi expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation, which he believes undermines the country's ability to attract investors. He pointed out that the loss of lives and the constant threat to communities reflect the government's failure to ensure safety and security for its citizens.

Obi referenced disturbing reports of the killing of a senior military officer in Borno by suspected Boko Haram terrorists, emphasizing the need for effective governance to protect lives and property. He criticized the political leadership for prioritizing political agendas over the safety of citizens, stating that without security, there can be no governance or future for the nation.
