NSCDC Deploys 42 Officers for UTME Security in Enugu

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 42 officers to various examination centers in Enugu State for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This examination is set to take place nationwide from April 16 to April 25, with candidates expected to write for approximately two hours.

The NSCDC Enugu State Command spokesperson, DSC Pamela Chukwu, disclosed this information in a statement on Wednesday. Chukwu emphasized the importance of effective monitoring to ensure a smooth and safe examination process.

A total of 21 approved computer-based test centers have been identified across the state. The personnel will maintain high-level oversight and conduct unscheduled visits to assess operational effectiveness and address any issues.

Dr. Elijah Willi, the NSCDC Enugu State Command head, directed the officers to uphold discipline and vigilance in their duties, aiming to prevent examination malpractice and unauthorized access while safeguarding candidates and officials.
