Imo State Urges Parents to Vaccinate Children Against Measles and Rubella

Imo State's Primary Health Care Development Agency is urging parents to vaccinate children aged nine months to 14 years against measles and rubella to prevent complications like congenital cataracts and heart defects. Health officials, including Ms.

Kosilisochukwu Ekenjoku and Dr. Uchechukwu Odom, highlight the risks of these diseases and the importance of immunization.

Dr. Ezeogu, representing the International Association of Pediatricians, stresses the need to stop the harm caused by measles and rubella through vaccination.

The World Health Organization is also involved in the vaccination campaign in Imo State.
