Nigerian Red Cross Trains Hundreds for Measles-Rubella Campaign in Lagos

The Nigerian Red Cross Society's Lagos branch has trained 526 officers and 4,800 volunteers to prepare for a measles-rubella vaccination campaign in Lagos State. The training, led by Olakunle Lasisi, aims to increase awareness, encourage parents to vaccinate their children, and address misconceptions about immunization.

The campaign, scheduled to run for 10 days starting on January 27, targets ignorance and resistance towards vaccines. The Red Cross is collaborating with the CDC and local authorities to ensure successful implementation and community sensitization.
