VP Shettima Assesses Kwara Terrorist Attack, Vows Justice for Victims

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Kwara State to assess a tragic terrorist attack that claimed 100 lives in Woro Kaiama. The attack occurred in the Woro and neighboring Nuku communities, where armed assailants struck, leading to casualties.

The VP's visit is part of the federal government's ongoing efforts to provide support to victims and enhance security in the affected areas. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received a security brief from Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, leading to the deployment of an army battalion and the launch of Operation Savannah Shield to combat terrorism and protect vulnerable communities.

The assailants had reportedly sent warning letters to the communities, urging them to abandon allegiances to the Nigerian state in favor of extremist ideologies.
