Kaiama Residents Reject Relief from Tinubu's Government

Residents of Kaiama in Kwara State have rejected relief materials sent by the Nigerian government, led by President Bola Tinubu, in response to a recent deadly terrorist attack. The community expressed outrage over the delivery of items such as mats, buckets, and school bags, which they described as an insult to their dignity considering the significant loss they have suffered.

Reports indicate that approximately 200 people were killed during the attack, with at least 176 women and children abducted. Community members emphasized their urgent need for security and immediate rescue efforts for those still in captivity, rather than the relief items provided.

The rejection of these materials was captured in a video, highlighting the community's anger and frustration over the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by the attacks linked to terrorist groups, including Boko Haram.
