Nigeria Can End Insecurity in Six Months, Says Ndume

In an interview on Channel Television on April 14, Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, stated that Nigeria has the capacity to resolve its insecurity issues within six months. He emphasized that achieving this goal requires the federal government to show strong political will and take decisive actions rather than merely engaging in rhetoric.

Ndume highlighted the necessity of training, equipping, and motivating soldiers to effectively tackle the country's security challenges, which include persistent insurgency and banditry. He lamented the ongoing loss of military personnel, including senior officers, and warned of the potential for repeated attacks on security forces.

Ndume urged the federal government to prioritize adequate funding and improve the welfare of military personnel to enhance their capability to confront security threats across the nation.
