ADC Candidate Dr Najeem Salaam Escapes Attack in Ejigbo

Dr Najeem Salaam, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Osun State, escaped an attempted attack today at Ward 4, Unit 13, in the Ejigbo Local Government Area shortly after casting his vote. Hoodlums reportedly attacked the voting unit, causing chaos as prospective voters fled for safety.

Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, the publicity secretary of the ADC in Osun State, stated that Salaam was quickly whisked away by concerned locals who acted to prevent the situation from escalating. The incident not only disrupted voting but also raised serious concerns about electoral irregularities and the integrity of the voting process in the area.

The ADC condemned the violence, asserting that democracy should not become a battlefield and that no Nigerian should risk their life for exercising their right to vote. They called on security agencies and relevant authorities to investigate the incident and ensure the safety of all involved.
