ADC Chieftain Okonkwo Critiques Tinubu's Security Failures

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu for his inability to secure Nigeria, particularly in light of recent violence in Plateau State. Speaking on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, Okonkwo described the current state of insecurity as a significant leadership failure, asserting that Nigerians are aware of the government's shortcomings.

He referenced the President's past assurances regarding electricity provision, which he claimed have not been fulfilled, and warned that without safety, governance will continue to deteriorate. Okonkwo highlighted the ongoing violence, including attacks on military personnel in Borno State, as evidence of the escalating crisis.

He noted that insecurity has become a daily occurrence nationwide and criticized the government's empty declarations of hope, likening them to scams. Okonkwo's remarks underscore the urgent need for effective security measures in Nigeria to restore public confidence and governance.
