Trump Congratulates Artemis Astronauts on Historic Mission

On Monday, former U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated the Artemis astronauts who recently completed a historic mission circling the Moon.

In a friendly interview, Trump expressed that the astronauts had made America "really proud" and commended NASA for its first lunar flyby in 50 years. He acknowledged the courage of the astronauts and emphasized that the U.S. would continue to lead in space exploration.

During a brief Q&A session, astronaut Victor Glover discussed the challenges faced during the mission, including communication issues while on the far side of the Moon. Canadian astronaut Jeremi Hansen, representing the Canadian Space Agency, thanked Trump for American space leadership and highlighted the mutual benefits of the collaboration between the two nations.

Trump concluded the call by inviting the astronauts to the White House, stating that everyone would see them in the Oval Office.
