Volkswagen Delivers 1.5 Millionth  All-Electric ID. Model

Volkswagen has achieved a significant milestone in its transformation towards electromobility by delivering its 1.5 millionth all-electric ID model worldwide. The milestone vehicle, an ID.4 Black Tourer Pro with a range of 606 kilometers, was handed over to a customer at the Volkswagen plant in Emden.

Board member Martin Sander emphasized Volkswagen's pioneering role in the field of electromobility, with the company's ID family leading the registration statistics in the electric segment in Germany and Europe. The company's commitment to electromobility was further highlighted by Minister President Olaf Lies, who praised Lower Saxony's ability to transform and underscored Volkswagen's investment of one billion euros in converting its manufacturing facilities to produce exclusively electric vehicles.

Volkswagen plans to continue its electric mobility campaign by launching new ID models, including the compact ID.2 in 2026 and the ID.EVERY model in 2027, with the goal of making electromobility accessible to all.
