VOSMF to Launch Power Awards on International Women’s Day

The Voice of Single Mothers Foundation (VOSMF) is set to hold its maiden Power Awards on March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This initiative aims to recognize women whose contributions significantly shape society across various sectors.

Reverend Aisha Galadima, the Executive Lead of VOSMF, described the awards as a celebration of strength, achievement, and commitment to making a difference. The event will spotlight incredible female leaders and channel energy towards supporting single mothers in building a brighter future.

Mr. Ibim Isaac, the project manager for the Power Awards, emphasized the evolving role of women in society, challenging traditional perceptions.

The awards will also highlight the importance of girl child education and safety, serving as a reminder of the vital role women play in shaping culture and society. Abel Okweku, the president of VOSMF, expressed aspirations for female governors and a female president, aiming to celebrate the invaluable efforts women make in paving the way for future generations.
