PDP Appoints 13-Member Interim NWC Led by Wabara

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed a 13-member interim National Working Committee (NWC) led by Adolphus Wabara. This decision was disclosed during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Monday, following a Supreme Court ruling that nullified the 2025 Ibadan national convention, which created a leadership vacuum within the party.

The motion to appoint the interim NWC was moved by Edo State PDP Chairman Toni Aziegbemi and seconded by ex-officio member Clement Fagboyede. Prominent party leaders in attendance included Governor Seyi Makinde, former Minister of Special Duties Tanimu Turaki, former Niger State Governor Babangida Muazu, former Minister of Information Professor Jerri Gana, and former Minister of Women Affairs Zainab Maina.

The faction opposing the Abuja convention insists that the committee led by Abdulrahman Moham is null and void.
