Super Falcons Arrive in Rabat for WAFCON 2026

The Super Falcons of Nigeria, the defending champions, arrived in Rabat on Friday for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Under the management of Justine Madugu, the team had previously set up camp in Casablanca the prior week.

Currently, 25 players, including Gift Monday and Deborah Abiodun, are at their base in the Marriott Hotel. The players and officials are scheduled to be officially received by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) on Saturday.

In preparation for the tournament, the Super Falcons played a friendly match against the Twiga Stars of Tanzania, winning 2-1. Their title defense will commence against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat next week Tuesday.
