D’Tigress Final Squad for 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

Rena Wakama, the coach of Nigeria's D’Tigress, has announced the final 12-player squad for the upcoming 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifiers, which will take place in Villeurbanne, France, from March 11 to 17, 2024. The Nigerian team is set to compete against Colombia on March 11, followed by matches against South Korea, the Philippines, and Germany on March 14, March 15, and March 17, respectively.

The squad includes players such as Ezinn Kalu, Promis Amukamara, Ami Okonkwo, and Elizabeth Balogun, among others. Nigeria has already secured qualification for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup by winning the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where they defeated Mali in the final.

The team is intensifying its preparations for the tournament, aiming to maintain a strong presence on the global basketball stage.
