WAO and FG Inspect Karshi Agritourism Village Project

The World Agritourism Organization (WAO) and representatives from the Federal Government inspected the Karshi Agritourism Village project site located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The project, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from Abuja's central area, aims to develop a world-class agritourism destination that promotes agricultural tourism, food security, and rural development.

Ambassador Henri Ogboi, accompanied by WAO's Executive Secretary Mr. Nneka Monjudu and other officials, assessed the strategic location's viability for development.

The project will include facilities such as a smart farm estate, grain silos, cold storage, a mechanized abattoir, and a four-star hotel, among others. It is designed to enhance Nigeria's food security and create job opportunities.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the project is in the advanced stages, with an official date to be announced soon, and is expected to attract senior government officials, diplomats, and private sector leaders.
