Reports indicated that Bala had stepped down from his role as deputy national chairman for the North East, with a resignation letter dated May 18, 2025, surfacing online.

This resignation was purportedly to facilitate smooth coalition talks and internal restructuring within the party. However, the newly released video complicates the narrative surrounding Bala's resignation, raising questions about whether it was final or later withdrawn.
