Kwara Government Responds to Terrorists' Video of Victims

The Kwara State Government has reacted to a disturbing video that surfaced, showing terrorists parading victims abducted from Woro Community in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State. The video reportedly features members of the terrorist group Jama'atu Ahlis-Sunnah Lidda Awati Wal Jihad, who are seen interrogating captives.

The government acknowledged the release of the video, which recalls the abduction of 176 victims, including women and children, by the group, formally known for its association with Boko Haram insurgency. While the state government was unable to confirm the exact number of victims or provide a definitive statement, the leader of Woro Community, Olukoju, has been able to identify members of the community in the video.

The government assured that it is collaborating with security agencies to ensure the safe return of the victims and will provide regular updates to the public as events unfold.
