PDP's Turaki Faction Responds to Wike's Bank Account Threats

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Kabiru Turaki has responded to comments made by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, regarding the opening of party bank accounts. Wike had warned that the Turaki-led group must prove the legitimacy of their plans to open a bank account in the party's name, threatening consequences if they proceeded.

In response, the Turaki faction stated that they already operate official party accounts and described Wike's comments as unnecessary and driven by frustration. They emphasized that their activities, including the sale of nomination forms in preparation for the party primaries, would continue uninterrupted and that no individual has the power to halt the party's structural operations under its current leadership.

The Turaki-led group characterized Wike's remarks about the bank as unrealistic, reaffirming their operational status and financial management related to party activities.
