Kebbi Governor Calls for Unity in Prayer to Tackle Security

During an interfaith seminar held at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris urged Nigerians to unite in prayer to overcome the country's persistent security challenges.

He emphasized the need for divine intervention and called for collective prayer to save the nation. The event, themed "The Role of Clerics in Promoting Purposeful Leadership, Peace, and Security," was organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Kebbi State Council of Ulama.

Idris highlighted his administration's achievements, including the renovation of a specialist hospital and the upgrade of 242 primary healthcare centers. He also noted the allocation of N300 million for school feeding programs and the renovation and construction of 2,000 schools.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to improving worker welfare and supporting security agencies. Sheikh Muhammad Sani Aliyu, addressing the gathering, praised the establishment of the Ministry of Religious Affairs as a significant achievement and commended the governor for promoting peace and coexistence among religious groups.
