Davido Urges Entertainers to Address Nigeria's Insecurity

Nigerian singer Davido has called on entertainers to speak out against the rising insecurity in the country, stating that they have not done enough to address injustices affecting citizens. He made this statement via the social media platform X, emphasizing that entertainers should use their platforms to draw attention to the problems facing Nigeria.

Davido, who is not part of the Citi Boi Group, insisted that he has previously spoken against the government. His remarks come as public figures increasingly call for action from the leadership regarding the security situation.

British-Nigerian rapper also called on President Bola Tinubu to seek global support for Nigeria's challenges. Davido's comments follow his recent break from music to support the re-election campaign of Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, where he was named head of youth mobilization for the Accord Party's campaign council after leaving the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
